Debra Schlenker
Business Manager
Deb has been with The Dance Centré for 40 years as a director, instructor, and now business manager. Deb and was a student at her mother’s studio Maeva’s School of Dance for 15 years and a competitive gymnast for 8 years through grade school and high school. While in college at The University of South Carolina, Deb coached gymnastics at Carolina Gymnastics Center. After graduation, Deb moved back to Wapak to work with her mother, Maeva, in the studio. Deb was instrumental in the addition of the Dance 1 program and starting the competition team and tumbling programs. Deb has studied dance with Hoctor's Dance Caravan, Dance Olympus, Tremaine Dance Convention, Al Gilbert Musicworks, and LA Dance Magic. She has also studied dance in California at Joe Tremaine Dance Studio and Broadway Dance Center in New York City. Deb has attended Dance teachers training at Western Kentucky University and trained with Patti Komara’s Tumble Bear program. Deb has a true love for the Dance Centré, its parents and students!
Renee Ewing
Instructor
Renee is in her 30th year of teaching dance, and she instructs our youngest students at The Dance Centré. Renee has trained with Al Gilbert, a master in the dance world-renowned for his work with young children. She has also studied with Hoctor’s Dance Caravan, Tremaine Dance Conventions, L.A. Underground, Hollywood Vibe, and Company Dance with Paula Abdul. Aside from teaching dance, she owns her own sewing business, “Time to Sew” and creates many costumes for our dancers.
Michele Wolke
Instructor
Michele has had the privilege of teaching dance for the past 30 years. Currently, she directs our competitive team and teaches tap, jazz, and lyrical classes. She has studied extensively across the country including The Edge in Los Angeles and Broadway Dance Center in New York. Her love of dance has inspired her to teach and choreograph, and her students have experienced success on all levels. Her love of the competitive dance field and dedication to teaching has won her numerous choreography awards. Education and growth in dance remain an exciting part of Michele's life as she continues to study with prominent instructors and choreographers. She looks forward to sharing her expertise with your children and watching them achieve their goals.
Amber Ridenour
Instructor
Amber has been teaching for 16 years at The Dance Centré. She is a former 14-year student of the Dance Centré. Amber teaches the little ones from Petite Combo to Dance Fusion. Amber also instructs our Mini Dance Company team. Amber attended Ohio State University graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Doctor of Pharmacy. While at The Ohio State University also she enjoyed taking dance classes. Amber loves teaching because she enjoys watching her students grow and have pride in themselves when they have mastered something new.
Cassie Bryan
Instructor
Cassie has been teaching hip hop to students of all ages at The Dance Centré for 13 years. Cassie started the competitive hip-hop team and hopes to continue with competing. She has had the pleasure of working with Barry Youngblood, Matt Steffanina, and many other hip-hop professionals. Cassie also has experience in choreographing musicals.
Kelly Hawk
Instructor & Secretary
Kelly has been teaching at The Dance Centré for 12 years, and she specializes in teaching tumbling and tap. Kelly also instructs our competitive tumbling team. She also loves working with our younger students in our Terrific Two’s, Dance 1 & our Petite Academy program. Kelly danced for the M/Dance and The Dance Centré for 15 years before becoming a teacher at the studio. She has had the opportunity to train with Patti Komara and the Tumble Bear programs and with the Al Gilbert Music Works.
Amanda Fisher
Instructor
Amanda has assisted and taught for 11 years in tumbling and hip hop and now specializes in the instruction of our tumbling classes. She has been dancing at The Dance Centré since the age of three, and she shares her expertise training in The Dance Centré's tumbling classes.
Kerry Stedke
Instructor
Kerry has been a ballet instructor at The Dance Centré for 11 years. She danced at M\ Dance Center for 16 years and was in Dance Company for 7 of those years. While in college at Ohio Northern University she minored in dance with a ballet emphasis. She has studied and performed with James Sewell Ballet, Julie Cartier, Steve Zee, African American Dance Ensemble, Tom and Susana Evert, and Ronan Koresh. Kerry enjoys sharing her love of ballet with her students.
Richelle Buehler

Richelle is in her 7th year of teaching dance for The Dance Centré. A former student for fifteen years, Richelle was a member of the competition team for 9 years. Richelle attended Bowling Green State University where she was a member of the dance team. After college, she returned to pursue a career as a teacher at The Dance Centré, teaching jazz, lyrical, hip-hop and ballet.
Angela Wuebbenhorst

Angela has been a co-teacher with her sister, Cassie, in The Dance Centré hip hop program for 7 years. She was a former student and danced at the studio for 15 years. Angela brings her high energy and enthusiasm to teaching because she loves sharing her passion with her students.
Lindsay Thomas
Instructor
Lindsay has shared her passion of teaching and spreading her knowledge of dance for 6 years at The Dance Centré and a total of 7 years teaching experience. Lindsay was a former student and completed 10 years of dance at TDC where she did jazz, tap, ballet, pointe, and lyrical and was also a member of the competition team for 5 years. Lindsay studied dance at The University of Akron, receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance with a Business Cognate. She studied jazz, tap, ballet, modern, and choreography classes while at Akron. She had the opportunity to work with many dance companies that traveled on tour. After college, Lindsay joined a modern dance company, SMAG Dance Collective based out of Dayton, Ohio and took classes from the Dayton Contemporary Dance Company. Lindsay performed with the Walt Disney Company in Orlando, Florida.
Susan Blatz
Instructor
Susan is one of our classroom assistants and tap instructors. She was a dance student with Pamela Houston Dance Studio for 9 years before becoming an assistant with Pam and then teaching her own classes for 8 years. After taking a break for a few years, Susan returned to The Dance Centré to teach. Dance is Susan’s heart and soul, and she loves teaching her tappers.
Nancy Copeland
Instructor
Nancy is in her 6th year teaching tumbling at The Dance Centré. She danced at The Dance Centré for 16 years and was a member of the competition team for 5 years. Nancy enjoys sharing her love of tumbling and watching her students succeed.
Chandra Zink
Instructor
Chandra has taught jazz, lyrical, and tap at The Dance Centré for 4 years, but has 5 years teaching experience in total. She studied at the University of Akron and graduated with her Bachelors of Arts in Dance. She has studied with various choreographers such as David Parson (Parson Dance), Hernando Cortez, (The Verb Ballet), The Doug Varone & Friends Company, Lana Heylock (Jennifer Muller’s The Works) as well as many others. Chandra also has her certification in the Pilates Method mat work, her license in Zumba and Aqua Zumba, as well as, a certification in Silver Sneakers. Chandra loves sharing her passion with others.
Ashley Swiger
Instructor
This is Ashley's third year teaching, but has had 10 years of teaching experience prior to coming back to TDC to teach hip hop and jazz\hip hop. She is also working with TDC’s Petite Hip Hop Company and choreographing for TDC’s Allstar Cheer Prep teams. Ashley danced at M\Dance Centre’ and is an alumni member Dance Company. While in college at Ball State, Ashley minored in dance and was a member of Ball State University’s Dance Team. Ashley has an extensive background in competitive dance and cheer choreography, direction and, adjudication. Her experience has led her to study among some of the industry’s top professionals in both NYC and LA.
Andrea Zickafoose
Instructor
This is Andrea’s third year at The Dance Centré. Andrea’s background is in tumbling and cheerleading. She cheered for her high school and Lima Rebels, levels 3,4 and 5 and she has also coached for Midwest Cheer Elite. Her passion is teaching technique to her athletes and she is constantly seeking new drills, workouts, and information from top tumbling instructors to ensure that her athletes are being taught proper progressions. She looks forward to getting to know many more athletes and educating them on the importance of technique in tumbling.
Darcy Gee
Assistant
Darcy has been an assistant with our Dance 1 and Petite Academy for 15 years. She is a former student of The Dance Centré. She enjoys working with the young children and watching them grow.
Matt Thuman
Assistant
Matt has been assisting our tumbling classes for 14 years at The Dance Centré. He was a dance student at Houston Dance Studio and was also a competitive dancer in tap, jazz, hip-hop, and tumbling and studied ballet and lyrical.

After studying jazz, tap, lyrical, and ballet at The Dance Centre for 15 years, Taylor has returned for her Third year as an assistant. When she is not at the dance studio Taylor is also a pre-law student at Ohio Northern University where she is receiving her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Taylor truly loves sharing her love of dance with students of all ages just as her teachers did with her at TDC.
Mary Beth Webb
Secretary
Mary Beth and has been our secretary at the Dance Centré for 24 years. A former student of Maeva’s, Mary Beth returned to the studio to keep our office and staff organized. Her creativity and hard work are displayed with the designing of many props and her assistance with costumes for our recital. She also helps in the organization of our Petite Performance.
